HELP US FURNISH THE NEW WILLIAMS FAMILY SEYMOUR BRANCH LIBRARY
Everyone hopes to leave the world a 'better place' than they found it when they are gone. Honoring or memorializing an entire family or an individual family member with the designation of a part of the new library space lets you do just that in a tangible way. Your legacy will be giving the joy of reading to generations of children, the chance for lifelong learning to intergenerational families that visit the library together, and access to information literacy for all, not just for your lifetime, but the lifetime of your family for many generations to come.
A small, comfortable meeting space in the back of the library for informal meetings and chats.
This area houses adult collections, media, and materials, and features a quiet reading space.
Juvenile and children's collections will be housed in this comfortable, age-appropriate space.
A full-sized kitchen available for use by staff and groups that reserve the meeting room.
A large space for formal meetings and community events. This space will even have a stage available.
Adult Computer Area
A space for adults to perform necessary online tasks, do research, and explore the web.
Children's Story Room
Dedicated in loving memory of Presley June Litton, this area will serve as a storytime space children of all ages.
The central hub of the library. This area is dedicated in loving memory of friends of the library, Paul and Betty Boyer.
As different types of media grow in popularity we are dedicating this space to our media collections.
This space for teens to grow their love of reading will include increased shelving, seating, and a makerspace.
Outside our new library will be a public art display featuring the work of Randolph Rose.
Interested in naming an area of the library? This is a great way to honor or memorialize a loved one.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
The Williams Family Seymour Branch of the Sevier County Public Library System has experienced tremendous growth in use and program attendance over the years. This growth has brought us to capacity use of our current 3,568 square foot facility. This community needs room to grow in an expanded library facility with state-of-the-art technology.
